This product allows for the simultaneous functional testing of up to six Direct-Reading Dosimeters. The Multi-Dosimeter Checker consists of a plastic cylinder with six holes that surround an 8 µCi Cs-137 Exempt Source. This device makes functional checking of Direct-Reading Dosimeters easy!  Properly charged and zeroed dosimeters are placed in the Dosimeter Checker and exposed for the required period of time, depending on their range. Typically, a six-hour exposure of a properly calibrated dosimeter will yield a reading from 25-35 mR. (reading varies based on model/range)

The exempt quantity sources that are supplied may be procured, handled, and used by persons who are exempt from U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission or Agreement State licensing requirements.  The radioactive material contained in these sources should not be considered the principal hazard and is beyond the scope of the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) requirements of 29 CFR 1910.1200 (OSHA)
