Uses
Based on several semiconductor type detectors
The SOR enables:
·
Ambient gamma
radiation measurement
·
Flash gamma and
neutron radiation measurements
·

The SOR is a
multi-purpose dosimeter designed for Defense applications.
It provides full protection against all types of nuclear threat, from
very low doses (technological and radiological risks) through to very
high doses (tactical risks), and is manufactured to NATO D104 standards.
The main component of a complete system including simulation, training,
data collection & management, calibration and logistics, the SOR is
used by the main NATO member states. |

An important special feature
of the SOR Line is its ability to meet the needs of various applications
with one product. Given its
multi-detector architecture the measurement range cover is broad, and
includes high level gamma and neutron dose rates as well as low level
radiations. ( L.L.R.) |
|
Another original
feature is the hands free reader exchange mode, which can be used with
the dosimter worn under clothing (such as NBC suits), thus eliminating
restrictions placed on the wearer while ensuring reliable coverage. |
|
The
SOR dosimeter line is built upon two versions: |
|
The SOR/T for tactical
(gamma and neutron) and residual/ambient gamma measurements including
LLR levels.
The SOR/R for
residual/ambient gamma measurements including LLR levels. |

The small size and
weight make this equipment ideal for use as field equipment.
This equipment is qualified in accordance with current military
and civil standards. It has
even exceeded some of the standards currently in effect in order to
account for harsh operational environments (low temperatures, TREE and
EMP resistance, electromagnetic compatibility, water immersion. |
