AP2C CW Agent Detector

The AP2C unit is a Chemical Warfare (CW) agent detector based on the flame spectrophotometer 

 It detects nerve and mustard agents and identifies Vx in liquid and vapor forms.  Highly sensitive, it detects the presence of sarin at a concentration of 10 micrograms/m³ in 2 seconds.  Suitable for initial reconnaissance, the AP2C also provides unique capabilities for mass screening and monitoring decontamination on casualties and equipment.  The AP2C is constructed to military specifications and is fielded in military forces and civil defense agencies worldwide including France, Sweden, Israel and Australia, and with fire departments and federal agencies of the US government.

• Monitor initial contamination and screening of casualties who may be contaminated.
• Monitor residual contamination after decontamination of personnel anc casualties, equipment, infrastructure and ground.
• Immediate detection of chemical contamination by flame spectrophotometry (sulphur & phosphorus atoms)
